Personally my favourite genre is horror and this is due to the effect it can have on the audience and the themes that it has the possibility to explore. From short touch deconstructions of films such as Scream, Halloween and opening analysis of films from small budget to large budget its inspired us to create our own as we like the way certain atmospheres have been created through mise-en-scene, film/ editing techniques and typeface.
Our opening will not be able to demonstrate all these themes, however it will dip into Conflict and definitely Murder/ Evil as Amber is killed by the end. We feel these are important themes especially the first one because as our society is constantly developing and moving forward they're are things that still are very backwards etc. Therefor we'd like to address this ideally if we were to make a whole film as it is something we feel our target audience would recognize and appreciate also.
